ISD Webinar: Rubber Expansion Joint; from basic applications to advanced solutions
Lloyd Aanonsen, President, General Rubber
This course focuses on the design, selection and application of performance rubber expansion joints, including restrained and un-restrained arrangements. The course continues by reviewing an EPC focused approach for best piping practice and optimization, contrasting that with an MRO focused approach for plant reliability and efficiency.
At the end of this session you will be able to understand the features and benefits of a performance rubber expansion joint design. Apply both restrained and un-restrained expansion joint arrangements effectively. Identify the sources of damaging pipe stresses and the consequences of neglecting some of them. Recognize system optimization with both a reduced footprint and energy consumption. Develop a plant reliability and efficiency program. Incorporate a condition-based preventive maintenance program. Access useful resources including data sheets, guideline specifications, application demos, solid model images, installation instructions, case studies and more.
